In a surprise turn of events, Mayor Kit Kuhn announces his plans to rename historic Donkey Creek Park. This change dismisses over 100 years of our town’s timber industry history. Named for the Donkey Engine decades ago, the Park was memorialized to preserve Gig Harbor’s first land-based industry (logging) that employed thousands of early settlers by the turn-of-the-century.
